I
love to sleep. I think sleep is necessary for life like water. If we don’t
sleep at all, we have no energy to do anything and of course it is not good for
our health. However, although I want to sleep and I need to sleep for sure, I
don’t have enough time to sleep these days. There are several reasons.
First,
I want to go out with my friends. When I was a high
school student, I spent a lot of time with my friends. Sometimes we just talked
about our school, boyfriends or dreams. They’re trivial
things but still very nice to me. Once we met after a long separation, we spend
through the night to talking, even though I have anything to do the next day.
Therefore, I don’t sleep well.
Secondly,
I have the things to do. I have a part time job, because my family is not so
rich, so I have to work for my pocket money and the school expenses. Also, I
have a lot of homework. I should review and prepare for the classes, and I want
to study by myself. I am planning to study abroad, so I have to study for TOEFL
as well. For that reason, I have no time to sleep, even though it is so
important to health.
The
bigger problem is the distance from my house to KUIS. I live in Ninomiya-town,
Kanagawa-prefecture. As you know, its very distant from here and it takes me
three hours to commute to KUIS. In other words, I spend about the quarter of a
day in the trains. I know how crazy it is and also I really feel it’s just the
waste of time. Of course I want to live in Chiba but I’m not able to change it
easily. I can sleep even in the trains because I don’t have enough sleep, but
what I need is a good sleep in my Futon.
That
is why I feel sleepy all day long. In fact, I sleep about 4 hours every day.
Therefore, I get dark rings under my eyes and
sometimes I get headaches, I can't be active about anything and I don’t hear
anybody. No matter how tired I am I must get up early in the morning because I
don’t want to skip the classes. However, so far, I have never thought that I
don’t want to go the university. Anyway, in any case, I need to sleep for sure,
now.
